Hello There! 🌸
My name is Jade Luu (she/her/hers), and I am currently a Informatics major with a Human-Computer Interaction specialization at the University of California, Irvine. I'm interested in the intersection between people, design, and technology. I’m originally from the Washington D.C. area, but I'm currently working to further my technical skills in UX/UI design by involving myself in organizations and clubs in Irvine!

What’s My Inspiration?
Since I was young I’ve always had a passion for aesthetically pleasing design presentation and technology (hence the photo of me on the left posing with my favorite social media app of the time). I noticed my avid passion for accessible and thoughtfully curated products when I would strive to create Google Slides presentations (yes, I am referring to the app that every student used to dread using) in ways that no other students in my classes had done before. I always cared about where certain text would be placed, how the image quality should be, and who would be able to feel valued by experiencing my work. This also translated into my drawings and artwork, which slowly merged with my love for a new age of digital design with human computer interaction.
After being exposed to the idea of UX/UI Design by my sister who works in the Big Tech field, I began exploring this new and innovative industry on my own. I had casual coffee chats with UX/UI designers at Meta, AT&TTV, and DIRECTV to learn more about UX/UI and its daily applications to the advancement of our communities. By pursuing an informatics major at UCI and participating in design clubs, organizations, and internships, I hope to further my own knowledge and skillset to create products that are enjoyed by all.
